Lake Superior State University (LSSU) in Michigan has released its annual list of words that should be banished.
They believe these words are either overused or completely useless. This year’s list includes “manspreading” and “vape” are among many other words we all are tired of hearing needlessly stuffed within sentences.
According to an LSSU spokesperson, “Overused words and phrases are ‘problematic’ for thousands of Queen’s English ‘stakeholders,’” she said, using two of the words from the list.
The list was created, not surprisingly, by the former public relations guy at the University over 40 years ago.
And now, this year’s list of words that should be banished:
BREAK THE INTERNET
WALK IT BACK
GIVING ME LIFE
