Are You a True Adele Fan? Only if You Know These 8 Things

By now, Adele is practically a household name. But there are fans, and then there are fans—and knowing all the lyrics to her hits like “Chasing Pavements,” “Rolling in the Deep,” and “Hello” doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a true fan. If you’re a true Adele fan, you’ve probably loved her since her first album, 19, came out in January 2008. And you probably had her newest album, 25, on preorder as soon as you heard it was coming out. And you probably know these other 6 things about Adele:

1. Adele’s Full Name

We all know Adele as, well, just simply Adele. Most probably know that her last name is Adkins, but only a true fan would know her full name: Adele Laurie Blue Adkins. She was born in May 1988.

2. Her Son’s Name

Angelo James Konecki was born just over three years ago. She kept his name a secret from the press for a long time, until she was spotted wearing a necklace with his name on it. His voice featured on Adele’s latest album 25 at the beginning of her song “Sweetest Devotion.” The song, of course, is about Angelo—as well as “Remedy,” which kicked off the recording of 25.

3. The Number of Awards She’s Won

Adele has won 88 awards, including one Academy Award, 13 Billboard Music Awards, and of course, her 10 Grammy Awards.

4. 6. Her Tattoos

Adele has 5 tattoos—bonus points if you know where they are located!***

5. She Loves Beyonce

But who doesn’t?

6. How She Takes Her Tea

In case you ever have Adele over for tea, she takes it with two sugars. Get your best teacups out!

7. Her Dog

He’s a wiener dachshund named Louis Armstrong and he’s adorable.

8. She Gets Stage Fright

Hard to believe, considering her incredible voice, but Adele gets serious stage fright. And it’s because of her fans. “With my stage fright, I just don’t want to let people down,” she said in an interview with NPR. “It’s actually getting worse. Or it’s just not getting better, so I feel like it’s getting worse, because it should’ve gotten better by now.”

She loves her fans so much it scares her—but then again, her true fans love her back just as much.
